The Comic Critique

Who am I?

Yes, this is a deliberate Les Miserables reference.  I do those a lot.  Anyway, my name is Alexander, and I have been reading comics for most of my life.  I am also a gamer, a singer, a Japanophile (which is NOT a bad thing, despite the associations people have with that suffix), a semi-political junkie, and cat fanatic.  I have always had strong opinions about comic books, and I would always relate them to my friends and Ed at Collector’s Paradise.  But it wasn’t until this year, when I first blogged about the North Carolina Senate Race, that I thought about blogging about comics.  And I’m really glad I did!  Unfortunately, you won’t get any more out of me!  Those of you who know me will already know enough.  As for the rest of you, well, you’re here for my opinions on comics, not my personal life.  I hope you enjoy the former!

As of April 22, 2009, I made the announcement that I would be expanding the topics that I discuss on this blog.  The Comic Critique is still a comic book blog, focusing on comic books, manga, etc.  However, you can also read it to check up on my reviews of video games, non-comic book movies, anime, and all sorts of other popular culture-related items.  The next page describes my review system for each area that I review.
